Why I won’t get promoted

I won’t ever get promoted because I don’t fit the mold at this place. I’m seen as a renegade. I read and write in blogs despite the fact that there is a no-blogging policy. I question the way that things are being done here, and occasionally make people look stupid (it’s mostly just 1 person) when I question their logic. I am constantly trying to increase efficiency. I tend to make decisions rather than delegating them to someone higher up. I don’t like to answer the phone because all too often it’s someone being overly reactionary. I enjoy surfing the web. I generally don’t stay past 6 because I don’t have to. I work more efficiently than certain people around me, and that makes it look like I have less work on my plate. I have headphones on for half the day so that I can drown out the noise around me and focus on my tasks at hand. And lastly, I don’t really care that much whether or not I get promoted because I know that it won’t have any effect on the meaning that I’m attempting to create on the web.
