Then he asks me if I’ve been helping Sarah, the previously mentioned girl who is the same level as me, yet is like a thorn in my side. The question confuses me and I don’t understand why he’s asking. My response is a simple “no,” and I keep moving to the next topic. Why would he think that I would be ‘helping’ my counterpart? I would cover her in an emergency, but I’m not her assistant. In retrospect, maybe I should have probed a little and asked him to clarify the question, but then again maybe letting things be was the best solution.
